One of our flagship programs is the centralised kitchens in Narsingi, Srikakulam and Mahaboobnagar that we have built in collaboration with the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation. With a production capacity of 1.1 lakh nutritious meals every day, these kitchens played a vital role in serving to needy poor people, students in rural schools besides the affected communities during the COVID-19 lockdown
These kitchens have provided 7.85 crore nutritious meals to children, rural folk, stranded communities etc., until 2020.
Furthermore, these kitchens played a vital role during the COVID-19 lockdown as they provided nutritious meals to migrant labourers and people that were severely impacted by the lockdown.
For our major contributions in the ‘Health and Nutrition’ space, we have been honoured as the Best CSR Institution 2020 at the Telangana CSR Leadership Awards 2020 on 20th November 2020.
Telangana Govt. for APF Contribution for CSR
As part of the Telangana Formation Decennial Celebrations, the Telangana State Government has awarded Aurobindo Pharma Foundation on 6th June 2023 for its major CSR contribution in the state of Telangana in 2022-23. This award is particularly commemorating the establishment of Aurobindo Oncology Block at MNJ Institute of Oncology & State Cancer Institute, Hyderabad, which was inaugurated earlier in April 2023, and is estimated to benefit around 1.5 lakh patients every year from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and neighbouring areas.

The CSR initiatives taken up by our Foundation are diverse and highly impactful. We focus mainly on themes such as Education, Health, Disaster Relief, Safe Drinking Water and Rural Development.
Furthermore, we also take up projects and initiatives based on the needs of our stakeholders and well-being of the citizens in mind.
Our work has benefitted 13.1 lakh people, 3.2 lakh families, 200+ schools, and 1.4 lakh studentsuntil the year2017.
In recognition of our efforts and the impact we have created in the lives of our stakeholders, we were awarded the Best CSR Practices award at the Responsible Business Awards held on 6th July 2018 at Mumbai.
Indian Red Cross Society Award for Mobilizing Resources
The incidence of cancer seems to be growing in our society and it is becoming difficult for everyone to gain access to the proper care they need.
It is imperative that access to quality cancer care is improved, hence we have donated brachytherapy equipment to the Indian Red Cross Society Cancer Hospital, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
This equipment has helped in treating 45 throat and cervical cancer patients each month since 2019.
To commemorate us for our services in mobilizing resources, the Indian Red Cross Society, Nellore has awarded us a gold medal on 30th September 2019.
Letter of Appreciation, PM CARES Fund
In the wake of devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, to ease the burden of the Govt. and to provide much needed relief for the citizens of India, we have donated Rs. 10 crores to the PM CARES Relief Fund.
Recognizing our efforts, the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India has sent Aurobindo Pharma Foundation a letter of appreciation dated 08th April 2020 commending our efforts in the fight against the pandemic.
State Level Best Smart Village Partner - Smart Village Smart Ward Programme
In the state of Andhra Pradesh, we have adopted the village of Peyyalapalem, Nellore district the ‘Model Village’ project in collaboration with APMAS.
In Peyyalapalem, we have constructed and laid roads, installed solar lights, RO water plants, conducted health camps, developed govt. school infrastructure, conducted infertility camps for the cattle and constructed a veterinary hospital, constructed a bus shelter and taken up greenbelt development initiatives.
In collaboration with the AP state government, we have constructed individual household toilets for the residents of the village, thereby making Peyyalapalem an open defecation free village.
We have also established a Farmer Producer Organization which aids small and marginal farmers by providing training on sustainable agricultural practices, providing agricultural equipment, etc., to improve crop yield and sales.
Furthermore, we have constructed a Mahila Bhavan that conducts skill development courses specifically for unemployed women to encourage entrepreneurship among them and support them in earning their own income.
This project has benefitted 1,614 villagers, 81 farmers and 52 women in the year 2019.
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has awarded us the title of ‘State Level Best Smart Village Partner’ under the Smart Village – Smart Ward program on 28th January 2019 in recognition of our efforts to transform the village of Peyyalapalem.
