Model Villages

Model Villages
- The main aim of Aurobindo Pharma Foundation is to bring about social and economic growth by developing innovative and dynamic systems to aid and improve the lives of its stakeholders. One of our key projects is the Model Village program undertaken in collaboration with APMAS NGO.
- Through this project, we have adopted the villages of Peyyalapalem, Andhra Pradesh and Borapatla, Telangana. In these villages, we have established roads, solar streetlights for improved accessibility and connectivity, installed community drinking water plants to ensure access to safe drinking water in their vicinity, constructed individual household toilets. Furthermore, government schools were strengthened, and skill development courses were provided to rural women to boost their employability.
- We believe that a comprehensive and holistic development of these villages will not only transform the lives of the villagers, but also inspire others to achieve the same. Moreover, development of villages and the agriculture sector will form the building blocks for our country’s socioeconomic growth.
- Around 1,600 villagers have benefited from this program in Borapatla and Peyyalapalem villages.
