Aurobindo Pharma Foundation unveils Aurobindo Oncology Block at MNJ Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad, a state-of-the-art facility that will provide tertiary.

In December 2022, Aurobindo Pharma Foundation has launched a new automated centralised kitchen in Perumallapuram village of Kakinada district. Built on an extent of 2 acres of land, the kitchen has a built-up area of 4,337 square feet. A unique feature of this kitchen is that it is completely solar powered, making it the first Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) kitchen in India to be run solely on solar power. Through this kitchen, the Swasthya Ahara program was launched. This kitchen distributes hot, nutritious breakfast meals every morning to 42 government schools in 38 villages (in 2 mandals) surrounding the kitchen, thereby feeding around 6,000 students every day. Furthermore, while designing the breakfast menu, nutritional requirements of growing children were taken into consideration. Hence the kitchen offers millet-based meals once a week to support the children’s nutrition. So far, this kitchen has provided 4 lakh nutritious meals to underprivileged students.
This kitchen was launched by Sri Dadisetti Raja, Hon’ble Minister for Roads and Buildings, Andhra Pradesh state in the presence of Sri I.S.R. Rao, Senior Vice-President, Administration, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, President, HKMCF on 15th December 2022.
